Voices for Bulembu
Swaziland has the highest infection rate of HIV-AIDS in the world at a 38%. This disease has decimated a generation of Swazis. The loss of a generation of parents has undermined traditional family structures. The result – a country-wide orphan crisis. There are currently an estimated 120,000 orphaned and vulnerable children who have been left to fend on their own.
The Bulembu Foundation is working to change this.
Voices for Bulembu is a weekend to raise funds and awareness for the transformational work taking place in Bulembu. The centrepiece of this weekend is the Voices for Bulembu Benefit Concert at the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts in Vancouver, BC, featuring the musical talents of the Canadian Tenors and special guests.
